We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Rodman to join our team. As a Survey Rodman, you will play a crucial role in supporting our surveying team in the field. You will be responsible for assisting with the setup and operation of surveying equipment, collecting accurate data, and ensuring the smooth execution of survey projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the survey crew chief in conducting field surveys.
- Set up and operate surveying instruments and equipment.
- Hold and position the survey rod to measure distances and elevations accurately.
- Clear brush and obstacles to ensure clear sightlines for survey equipment.
- Mark survey points and set stakes as directed by the survey crew chief.Record measurements and other data as required.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in surveying is a plus.
- Previous experience in surveying or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of surveying principles and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand maps, plans, and diagrams.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license.

Survey/Engineering Draftsman Job Posting

RLA's sole mission is to aid clients in developing innovative, environmentally sound, and cost-effective projects that promote sustainable development.
We are seeking a Survey Draftsman with outstanding time management and people skills who will apply business knowledge and experience to RLA’s overall operations. You will have the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- The right candidate will process and interpret survey data collected from the field.
- Will be efficient at planning and preparing CAD drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D Software.
- Will be able to maintain and organize digital and paper survey records.
- Work with the field crews and project managers daily.
- Produce top quality drawings.
- Be knowledgeable with surveying and construction drafting.
Requirements
- More than 1 year of AutoCAD experience preferred
- Ability to understand boundary and topographic surveys preferred
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
- Effective work in both individual and team environments
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Starting salary: $25 - $30/HR – Based on Experience
